First Graders are mouthy, also quick-witted.

So I subbed in the elementary gym this week, and today as a class of first graders were walking out I said this:

“Nice job today, O’ Short Ones. I’m proud of you.”

As the line emptied into the hallway the last kid looked over his shoulder, and with a wave of his hand replied:

“Why, thank you for saying that, O’ Bald One.”

Touché kid. Touché.
