Seriously, it’s immortal. Here’s the dilly – the Immortal Jellyfish has the ability to fold in on itself when it reaches the end of his life, absorb itself and return to the polyp stage to start its life over again. Theoretically, this process can go on indefinitely, effectively rendering the jellyfish biologically immortal although it can still die from disease, predators and whatnot. Nature, man. Anywho, Immortal Jellyfish.

And when I say immortal I’m not joking, kids. It is the only known case of an animal capable of reverting completely to a sexually immature, colonial stage after having reached sexual maturity as a solitary individual. Did you get that? After it matures into an adult it goes back to being an infant again, over and over. Oh, it can still die from disease or be eaten by predators, but theoretically this process can go on indefinitely, effectively rendering the jellyfish biologically immortal. Amazing really. Anywho, Immortal Jellyfish.
