Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and Michael Stipe of REM were close friends. When Cobain’s body was found the REM CD Automatic for the People was found in the room’s CD player. It was turned all the way up to ten. Later that year Stipe dedicated the song Let Me In to Cobain on the album Monster.
