It was actually more like a short skirmish . . .

Actually, he sort of resembled this dude.

So we had a pretty tough loss last night, which followed a great win the night before. Such is sports, and coaching, when dealing with 15-17 year old athletes. Anyway, we’ll bounce back but that’s not the point of this story.

After the game I wandered into town to grab a sandwich at a local establishment. I was wearing a jacket and tie, which isn’t the normal attire at this particular pizza joint. It was late, around 11:30, and a few of the gentlemen at the bar looked as if they’d been partaking since the Buckeye game at noon.

You have to understand it takes me a couple hours to wind down after a tough loss, so I wasn’t in the best of moods when one of the drunks says this:

Whoa! Hahahahaha! Whose funeral?

This was followed by raucous laughter from the comedian and his buddies. Well, he sort of set me up so I had no choice but to walk up to him and say:

If you say another word to me, yours.

And you know what was weird? After that I felt much better. Thanks unknown drunks at the bar!
