Cool Animal of the Day: The Flamboyant Cuttlefish

These little dudes from are Flamboyant Cuttlefish, which is about as cool a name as you’ll ever find. They’re the masters of camouflage. They can’t only change the color of their skin, but even the texture as well (from smooth to three-dimensional). These water chameleons are often compared to hippos because of their body shape, but unlike the real hippos, their brains are shaped like a donut. Wait. W-h-u-u-u-t? Their home is the tropical Indo-Pacific around northern Australia, New Guinea, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Anyhoo, Flamboyant Cuttlefish.
