Baseball Experts And Stat Overload

Is it me or do the baseball guys on ESPN like Tim Kurkjian and Buster Olney go way overboard with their stats? Sure, I know baseball is a statistic oriented game but do we really need to know that pitcher Madison Bumgarner has the highest percentage of pitches thrown for strikes on the third pitch of the second inning in second round playoff games on the first Wednesday after George Washington’s mother’s second cousin’s birthday?

Back off boys. I’m getting a stat overload over here.

PS: On a related note, why are all the baseball experts so small? I mean, these guys are teeny-tiny little munchkins. Seems odd. They’re like 5′-5″. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Tim Kurkjian. Not sure about the story behind that get-up.
